I get what you're saying Rob_J but one of the main reasons I love Thorne is that his character is so realistic. Shit happens to all of us and its great to be able to relate to what happens to Thorne in the books, and the location is fantastic aswell takes me back to my youth! (sorry I digress) I guess what I'm saying is that I get totally lost when I'm reading Thorne, but I agree it would be nice for something good to happen!

Not me. I like Thorne when he's dealing with
adversity, with his job or in his personal life.
Besides, a happy Thorne would pretty much
sideline Hendricks and that would be unbearable.
Hell, Rankin got away with a tetchy Rebus for
at least a dozen books and it worked for him.
