I've read a lot of Faye K's books. Thats the first interview i've read with her in a long time.. Nice one.

I really enjoyed talking to her for a large feature in Good Reading (an Australian magazine) a few months ago - focus of the feature was on the family of four writers, but I interviewed both Faye and Jonathan for an hour or so (by phone).

Unfortunately those articles aren't available online - but I should post some of the interview that I didn't use in the article on my blog actually...

9mm interview with Kiwi author Alix Bosco posted today. 'Alix Bosco' is the pseudonym for a 'successful writer in other media' who wants to keep her thriller-writing persona separate. Her second thriller just hit NZ and Australian booksellers' shelves today - but this may in fact be the first interview she's ever done, as she has wanted to keep her identity secret: http://kiwicrime.blogspot.com/2010/08/9mm-interview-with-alix-bosco.html#comments

90TH BIRTHDAY SPECIAL: 9mm interview with PD James: http://kiwicrime.blogspot.com/2010/08/90th-bday-9mm-interview-with-pd-james.html

Apparently I was the only Kiwi/Aussie journalist to get an interview with her in the lead-up to her birthday, which is kinda cool... have a feature coming out in Good Reading as well...

Today I've added another continent to the 9mm series, with my first interview with a South American author.

Leighton Gage is the author of the acclaimed Chief Inspector Mario Silva Series, set in Brazil. Gage has lived and worked on six continents. He visited Spain in the time of Franco, Portugal in the time of Salazar, South Africa in the time of apartheid, Chile in the time of Pinochet, Argentina in the time of the junta, Prague, East Germany and Yugoslavia under the Communist yoke. He is fluent in three languages and conversant in three more. He and his wife spend much of their time in Brazil, her native country, although they also divide their time with France, the Netherlands and the United States, where Gage's daughters live.

You can read the very interesting interview here: http://kiwicrime.blogspot.com/2010/08/9mm-interview-with-leighton-gage.html
