Another huge name today is added to the 9mm series today; that maestro of mystery writing, and living legend, James Lee Burke: http://kiwicrime.blogspot.com/2010/10/9mm-interview-with-james-lee-burke.html

Plenty Rach. That was the 41st or so in the series, which only started earlier this year. Upcoming interviewees include Michael Connelly and Peter Robinson, amongst others.

I recently did an interesting wrap-up of the 44 Crime Watch 9mm interviews thusfar, looking at some trends etc amongst all the diverse author comments:
http://kiwicrime.blogspot.com/2011/01/reflecting-on-2010-9mm-interviews.html

Now today I have added the first 9mm interview for 2011, with John Burdett (the excellent Sonchai Jitpleecheep series, BANGKOK EIGHT, BANKOK HAUNTS etc):
http://kiwicrime.blogspot.com/2011/02/9mm-interview-with-john-burdett.html

Enjoy!

Upcoming 9mm interviewees (ie, interviews already done) include Robert Crais, CJ Box, Liam McIlvanney, Peter Robinson, and Peter Corris.

On another website, someone suggested I should also interview Donna Moore.

Any other suggestions from the BTZ readers?

Been a bit slack on this lately, distracted by earthquake etc.

Have uploaded another 9mm interview today - Liam McIlvanney, who some of you may have met at Harrogate in the past couple of years: http://kiwicrime.blogspot.com/2011/03/9mm-interview-with-liam-mcilvanney.html

He's the son of William McIlvanney (Scottish novelist who wrote the 'Laidlaw' detective novels), and his own debut was ALL THE COLOURS OF THE TOWN in 2009.

Enjoy.
