Best friends and food day of the year. And Green Bay's victory pleased my family, Craig. It is also the only day we anticipate the commercials as much as the football.

RIP Dean Richards
He was only 36! Which is no age at all. Quite sobering really when I'll be hitting the big 3-0 very soon.

Another conscientious decision awarded in Man Yoo's favour by my favourite referee Mark Clattenburg, (although I do use a different name for him most of the time.)
Coincidence again?
I think not.
When its comes to refereeing Man Yoo games Clattenburg is bought and paid for

Really sad about Dean Richards. A star for both my own team and for Tom's...

A good day to be Dirk Kuyt... way to go Liverpool - beating Chelsea and Man Utd in the Premier League, whilst still trying to extricate yourselves from what has been a pretty awful season (at least to start with)...

Well done Liverpool - best result of the weekend!
Bristol Rovers have sacked their Manager, Dave Penney. He was only appointed on 10th January - I guess it's instant results, or you're out these days.

Did Avram Grant even have time to reach the end of the tunnel before he was sacked!

I suspect he was given an envelope before the match marked "Do not open until 5 p.m."

Ancelloti might have got a similar one - I heard they fired him in the tunnel after the game...

Nice win for Ireland tonight away against Macedonia.
A bit nasty, this new trick of someone in the crowd shining laser light into players' eyes though.

Well, I dredged this thread up. Watching USA play Mexico and adjusting to the new Jurgen Klinsmann era! Down 0-1 already... And are we excited the EPL is starting this weekend??

Football League started last week - a 2-3 away win for Bristol Rovers. Hope it's a sign of things to come.
