Time for a fun topic, if Mark wrote something nasty happening to Holland or Stone (or their families), who should it be and what?

Holland has only had that affair with McEvoy to disrupt his stride, whilst Stone was responsible for Mackillop's death.

And only Holland has a family to put in danger (as far as we know at the moment).

I think Holland should break a leg or get stabbed (or something).

Thats just mean isnt it!

I think if it was gonna happen to anyone  it would probably happen to Stone. The way that he behaves he's probably got the dose anyway so thats a good start for his karma kickback

Of course for maximum effect if anything nasty should happen to anybody it should happen to Hendricks...

Almost did in Death Message, and he's had plenty of relationship problems throughout the series as well....

Perhaps Blood Line will bring a nasty surprise for one of the supporting characters?

Can't remember off-hand, but I don't remember Stone being in Bloodlines.

Haven't read the last two - but I'm hoping that something happens to Stone.

At the risk of teaching Grandma to suck eggs....

Holland, I guess. But indirectly. I'd like to see his
girlfriend put in jeopardy somehow. There's already
a great deal of animosity between her and Thorne.

It's very difficult to come up with a plot that hasn't already
been done to death, isn't it? I guess that's what makes us
all appreciate Mark's books as much as we do.

Yes, I would also like to see something happen to Hollands girlfriend BUT I was really thinking of one of his superiors like Bridstock or another of his jobs worth Inspectors. But really I think its high time things changed for the better for Yvonne KItson. Shes a gooden and well up for the job.

How is this even a question? Holland is a right little go-getter, he tries a lot harder than stone, apart from with the ladies of course!

I would say it'd have to be stone, but nothing too serious, maybe something a little sinister but I think he should last just that little bit longer.. Strengthen his character and let us get to know more about him before he puts himself into a stupid situation without anyone higher up to contact, and loses it..

I'm not saying that's what should happen, but I can see it happening at some point! :P

I'm hoping to see many many new books in the near future! :)
