Script Frenzy 2008

Script Frenzy is a month-long competition/challenge very similar to NaNoWrimo (National Novel Writing Month) but the emphasis is on writing a script.

This year, the challenge has been moved to April (rather than June last year) and instead of 20,000 words, they're encouraging 100 pages of script.  This could be a movie, mini-series, play, TV production, graphic novel script... pretty much anything goes.

I will  be taking part again this year, but I am away on holiday for a whole week towards the end of April so I may cheat a little and start a week early.

Hi Paul,

I'll be giving it another crack.  In  fact I've got a couple of ideas for screenplays that I may well submit, one of them being that story that some of you guys have asked to read, as I'm about to work on a screenplay for it anyway.

I think Mr Ravens is using the Welsh chanteuse as ..ahem..`inspiration`. She`s not a patch on our Betty and Chel when it comes to Duffies (is that a word? it is now.)
  Mooted as the new Amy W, she is, in reality, a diet Bonnie Tyler.

Hi all,

First, long time no posts - I know I've been quite absent, but I've been on one of my "away" phases.

Anyway, just to say I'm having a go at SF. Adapting a few of my short stories and short screenplays into a graphic novel anthology (as you're allowed to do ANY script this year), and paying a little "homage" to the EC comics of yesteryear that I enjoy and have inspired me so much. I'm on 60 pages so far with 3 weeks left, so am on track, barring "Acts of God".

36 pages down.  As I'm out of action for a week that gives me another 64 pages to go and ten days... If I can write 7 pages a day I should do it!
